Voyagers

Voyagers

Foothills Voyagers is a place where girls and boys in Years 2 to 6 can have lots of fun.

The aim of Voyagers is to provide a self-paced achievement oriented program focusing on God's creation, life skills, personal development, fellowship, fun and preparing children to commit their lives to Jesus.

Voyagers members are encouraged to wear our uniform which consists of a polo shirt and a vest that your Award Patches will be sewn onto. The children's own shorts or trousers can be worn.

Kids can expect to have a great time.  Every meeting we enjoy games, singing or drama, bible story and badge work.
The awards encourage children to grow spiritually, learn more about God's world, serve their family and others and develop life skills. Some examples of award patches are First Aid, Bible Reading, Rockets, Arts and Crafts, and Astronomy that we will do during our meetings. There is also the opportunity to earn extra patches at home such as Collecting, Cooking, Reading, and Sewing. See how many you can earn and display them on your vest! Every year we organise a weekend camp, Discovery Day trip (parents and siblings welcome) and a day picnic combined with the church.  Attendance at these events will earn you a patch to add to your vest!

Voyagers meets on the first and third Monday of each month from 7 to 8.30pm (except public and school holidays) at the church office - 20a, 34-36 Abel Street, Penrith and new members are always welcome. It costs only $2.50 each night.

For more information, contact David and Lesley Head or call the church office on 4732 3139.
